My approach to therapy is integrative and relational.
- Integrative: I draw on a range of therapeutic techniques and approaches to inform my practice. This includes elements from psychodynamic therapy (which explores unconscious patterns and past experiences) and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), which focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns. By integrating various approaches, I can tailor my methods to best suit your unique needs and challenges.
- Relational: I believe that relationships—both inside and outside the therapy room—are key to understanding ourselves. In our work together, we’ll explore these relationship patterns, which can offer deeper insights into how you interact with others and the world around you. This process may help you gain a clearer and more reflective understanding of who you are and how you connect with others.
This flexible, adaptable approach allows me to meet you where you are and adjust my methods to your individual needs. I place great importance on collaboration in our work, as I firmly believe that you are the expert in your own life. Whether we focus on the present and the “here-and-now,” or explore past experiences and how they affect you today, I will always prioritise your perspective.
I also have lived experience and a special interest in working with minoritised individuals. My experience has allowed me to develop an understanding and empathy for the challenges faced by clients dealing with various life circumstances.
